Invitations are going out soon for our 5th year of FASTT Fest! This year brings a few new elements—the Reserve Cellar with special vintages, and the Keg Korner to sample beers from a variety of breweries.

As always, great wines, food and auction treasures await. But it doesn't happen without a lot of help—from you! Please call or email Melissa at (618) 960-4663 if you would like to volunteer, donate an auction item, or help secure sponsorships to cover our expenses.

Rock Springs Park update

FASTT's day program is doing great! With a full ten-client load and many activities planned for the day, the program participants stay very busy.

The garden is flourishing and hopefully soon we'll have vegetables to donate to the O'Fallon Food Pantry, and flowers to put around the building. Our clients are still enjoying music and sign language lessons. We've once again started making clay pots, so if anyone is interested in purchasing them, please contact Melissa Meddows.

The biggest news we have includes FASTT's purchasing of a fourteen-person van for transportation, and a temporary new summer location. The new van will allow the FASTT day program to get more involved in the community. Some potential activities include volunteering at the Spencer Memorial Kennel, and day trips to the YMCA.

Our group is also meeting at Faith Lutheran Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will just be for the summer; the clients seem to like the different scenery.

FASTT began its first developmental training program in November 2006. As of August 2007, we have ten participants who come daily for activities in horticulture, art, music and exercise. Our future goal is to increase participants at Rock Springs Park, with an additional ten for another day program at Willoughby farm, in Collinsville, or at the Mascoutah farm site.

Our professional staff consists of our Program Director, Melissa Meddows; Program Manager Mindy Hammond, and three aides.
